Technical Manager – Food Jobs – £55K + Benefits

Our client is a UK Food Manufacturer they have a turnover in excess of £200 million. Supplying a number of the top 4 Multiple Retailers, they have built their reputation on innovation and quality of products which has driven their sales resulting in continued expansion.

Due to expansion they are looking for an experienced Fresh Produce Technical Manager to oversee all Technical aspects at one of their manufacturing sites.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for all Technical aspects associated with the site. You will make a strong contribution to the formulation, delivery and evaluation of the Manufacturing Strategy, thus providing operational effectiveness and ensuring technical integrity. You wil ensure adherence to all food safety standards to meet internal and external requirements with particular emphasis on EFSIS accreditations. You will also manage the NPD function, implementing and evaluating a New Product Development Strategy. Maintaining strong customer links as the main Technical representative on site.

You will have a chilled or frozen food background, with strong Technical Knowledge ideally degree qualified. You will have previous experience of managing both Technical and NPD functions within a food manufacturing environment. You will have the ability to inspire and manage teams effectively, setting high standards and delivering customer excellence.
