Logistics Manager – Chilled Food Manufacturing
Multi site operation, growing and profitable chilled food business is looking for a Logistics Manager to help drive their business forward. This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward thinking Logistics Manager within chilled food manufacturing. Supplying chilled food products to the UK Grocery Retailers
Location: Midlands / Home Counties
Salary: c£45k plus Excellent Benefits
Key Responsibilities:
In this role as Logistics Manager you will be expected to:
• Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager the role will be responsible for driving logistics departmental improvements through development of process, people and procedures aligning department strategies with business goals.
• You will provide meaningful statistical data supporting department operational performance and efficiencies whilst highlighting areas of opportunity for development. Using your influencing skills you will work closely with all Business Units, Commercial and our Customers both internal and External to ensure service levels are met in full at all times whilst delivering a better than budget cost performance.
• You will manage the 3rd party logistics contract ensuring full service compliance at all times whilst developing the provision to focus on continuous improvement and added value. You will manage the offsite warehouse location to deliver the right materials at lowest cost to all business units.
• You will drive a “can do attititude” across all Logistics functions ensuring team behaviour is fully aligned with business values ensuring the Logistics Department is engaged with all business events.

• Leadership: Lead by Example and be able to guide and coach your team in the best working practices and behaviours expected of our Business to ensure they consistently demonstrate good performance and are not afraid to make their own personal contribution when required.
• Trust: Be able to keep confidences and promises to your colleagues, peer group and team members and ensure that the company values are adhered to at all times.
• Simplicity / Innovation: Keep the work ethic simple whilst being innovative and forward thinking when running your Department so that everyone can play a part in it.
