Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician

Yorkshire – upto £32k plus excellent benefits.

Our client is the world’s leading nutrition, health and wellness company. Their products include food and beverages, cereals, confectionery, petfoods and waters. As of today, they employ over 270,000 people across more than 500 state-of-the-art facilities around the world. The UK arm of the group are now seeking a dynamic Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to join their current team within one of their Yorkshire sites.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the appointed engineer will conduct both breakdown and planned maintenance on a range of PLC driven production & packaging machinery. They will also look at ways of increasing production efficiency by carrying out improvement projects and some installation work and mainly line engineering support.

Suitable candidates must have at least 2 years experience carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance in a food manufacturing environment and hold recognised engineering qualifications. They will also be familiar with Pneumatic, Hydraulic, PLC systems and form fill and seal machines. Ideally you will have an HNC in electrical or mechanical engineering. Plus a time served apprenticeship or NVQ level 3, or equivalent of the above, with strong experience ideally gained within a fast paced FMCG environment at a similar level.
