Due to increased growth within their confectionery sales they are looking to strengthen their Confectionery R&D function at the Product Technology Centre in Yorkshire.
The Product Technology Centre is the leading centre for confectionery research and development worldwide. It provides ideas, technical innovations, engineering and scientific support into the product, process and packaging development.
Providing technical assistance and project support as required or requested to designated zones, markets and factories.
Transfer knowledge, experience, technologies and training by giving guidance is setting up project briefs and specifications, giving practical hands on support to improve process and product.
Sharing channel info, products, and process/engineering information between factories.
Act as an expert advisor within specific projects, and leading other projects within R&D.
Assist with Capex process through preparation and validation of Capex proposals for markets and factories. Supporting factories with installation and commissioning where required.
Trouble shoot and solve problems in factories by responding as soon as possible to urgent requests for help on operational issues.
Personal Specifications:
The type of person we are looking to fill this Principal Technical Advisor role will demonstrate:
You will have experience of project management and meeting timescales and deadlines set within a manufacturing environment. High levels of communication and influencing skills are essential. A minimum of 10 years experience in a factory environment at management level in either engineering, production or technical. Degree in Engineering, Technology or sciences.

• Leadership: Lead by Example and be able to guide and coach your team in the best working practices and behaviours expected of our Business to ensure they consistently demonstrate good performance and are not afraid to make their own personal contribution when required.
• Trust: Be able to keep confidences and promises to your colleagues, peer group and team members and ensure that the company values are adhered to at all times.
• Simplicity / Innovation: Keep the work ethic simple whilst being innovative and forward thinking when running your Department so that everyone can play a part in it.
